Mr. Simmons has over 10 years of experience in space planning, design and construction administration, 5 of which have been with AAI.  Mr. Simmons has worked extensively on a wide variety of project types that include governmental, medical, educational and commercial facilities.

As Project Architect, Mr. Simmons will be responsible for the following:

  • Programming

  • Construction Documentation

  • Construction Administration

Project Experience

National Institute of Occupational Safety & Health Facilities, Cincinnati, Ohio:
Mr. Simmons has worked on numerous projects that have involved space planning and renovation of existing facilities of NIOSH/CDC of Ohio.  His experience with these projects has included extensive existing facility analyses and documentation and planning.

Montgomery County Reibold Building, Dayton, Ohio:
Mr. Simmons played a key role in the Master Planning and Construction Administration for this major renovation project.  He worked very closely with the Montgomery County Department of Public Works and the Combined Health District of Montgomery County throughout the construction phase, representing the two organizations at weekly construction progress meetings and providing overall project direction and leadership.

Warren County Administration Building, Lebanon, Ohio:
Mr. Simmons was involved in the Master Planning and Construction Administration of the new office building, as well as the space planning and renovation of the historic Old Courthouse that occurred simultaneously.

Twin Valley Psychiatric System, Dayton, Ohio:
Mr. Simmons was involved in the Master Planning for this project, which involved the space planning, design and construction of a new facility that would consolidate several of the services in one complex.

Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sidney, Ohio:
Mr. Simmons was involved in the Master Planning for the expansion and renovation of the existing hospital facilities.  This expansion included a new 20,000 S.F., 2-story building and a new 16,000 S.F., 1-story emergency wing.  Renovated areas included a 5,000 S.F. space for the Obstetrics Department and spaces for the Radiology Department and fitness center.

Community Blood Center, Dayton, Ohio:
Mr. Simmons developed the Master Plan for this existing facility and was involved in the design of the new addition.
